A Note on Philanthropy

VP of Philanthropy: Lauren Ossenheimer

Generosity is one of the core values of Delta Zeta, and our chapter is passionate about giving back to the amazing community that we are lucky enough to be a part of! Our creed states that we “give graciously of what is mine”, and this is evident in everything we do including our philanthropy events. Delta Zeta’s national philanthropy initiatives support speech and hearing. We raise more than $3000 a year for the American Society for Deaf Children, Starkey Hearing, and the Copper Country Humane Society. Our chapter is also very passionate about service and giving back to the community. We collaborate with other local non-profits and other Greek organizations for philanthropy and service events throughout the year, allowing us to volunteer for causes close to our hearts. If you see a sister volunteering on campus or in the community, feel free to stop by and say hello!

If you’re looking to learn more about philanthropy at Delta Zeta feel free to contact our current Vice President Philanthropy, Lauren Ossenhiemer (lmossenh@mtu.edu).

Our Philanthropies

For Delta Zeta and other Greek Organizations alike, philanthropy and service are what drive us to become the best versions of ourselves.  Giving back on local and national levels are integral parts of our purpose.  Service may seem daunting, but with sisters at our sides there is nothing that can stop us from bettering ourselves and our communities while also having a blast doing it!
